Candy Shop Vintage, Aiken SC

Yesterday, we held a ribbon cutting at our new retail location, just a couple hours north of Charleston in Aiken, SC. An elegant, historic town known for its horse culture and history (it was a Winter Colony settled by New Yorkers in the 1920's who wanted out of the winter months up North). My daughter and I moved to Aiken a year and a half ago for the palm trees, horses and southern charm. I missed having a storefront for Candy Shop Vintage and when I saw the adorable space for rent at 309 Hayne Avenue SW in Downtown Aiken, I knew it was perfect for us. Right next to Elevate, a smoothie bar and just around the corner from historic Laurens Street, it's Parisian jewel box charm caught my eye. Polo is a hugely popular sport here - both to play and to watch - so we've been sure to design and stock some fun accessories to bring to polo matches, in addition to vintage jewelry, clothing, home goods and our regular jewelry collection.
